Miranda was such an interesting heroine it was such a nice change to have someone not titled who was not worried about her place in society and just wanted to be herself and have some fun experiences. This story follows Miranda as she navigates the ton society with the help of Philip, she wants to experience some adventures to be able to write stories for her cousins This is the 4th book in the Rakes on the Run series, but it was my first book from Sydney Jane Baily as the books can be read separately. My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read The road to their HEA was a very bumpy ride but it did make for a captivating read I loved the witty banter, the havoc a spider causes & the chemistry between the pair. I loved both Philip & Miranda, he's outwardly the rake but underneath is caring & honourable, she's naive & innocent & is taken advantage of by a supposed friend.

I found it to be a light hearted, fun, entertaining read, which often had me smiling. It is very easily read on its own but so saying it was so good that I now want to read the earlier books. This is the fourth book in the series & the first I’ve read. Yet her quest for knowledge sets her heart beating like a galloping horse, and soon she has plenty to write about! With rumours flying like falcons and dire disgrace on the horizon, Philip and Miranda have nowhere to hide and no place to run. Miranda Bright is intent on squeezing every last secret from her roguish escort for her own romantic scribblings to amuse her country cousins.
